The
Testimony Of My Gift
It like it was yesterday, I remember the night of September 19, 1999.
I sat alone in my empty and quiet apartment. The only thing I possessed
was a bed and a desk. That night I sat and contemplated about how I didn't
have a gift or talent; such as being able to sing, draw or play any instruments.
I also began to think of how my life had changed and how I was now in
The Word of God, but primarily, how I only wanted to be used by God.
God's word says in Matt. 7:7, "Ask and you shall receive, seek and
you shall find..." and in the book of Mark 11:24 "Whatsoever
you desire when you pray, believe that you receive them and you shall
have them." These are the scriptures that I relied on. I began to
pray "Lord, I feel so lonely since I don't have any Christian friends,
I am not dating, plus you know that I am not involved like I used to be
with women. I am surrounded by clubs and other tempting things to get
into like I used to, but I resist and I won't. That's not me anymore;
I want to do the right thing by serving you." I spoke out and said
"Lord I don't do anything, I am just a regular person living day
to day and I wish that there was some kind of gift or talent that I could
have. Lord if you want me to reach people then you are going to have to
give me something to reach people with."
I got up off my knees and sat at my desk. I grabbed a pen and some paper
and immediately right before my eyes a miracle happened. That night I
wrote the most anointed poem ever.
Over
the next few days the Holy Spirit began to reveal and inspire me with
more words of wisdom from Heaven.
My testimony through this is that God can take and use anyone willing
to commit unto the Lord, trust in Him and know that He will bring it to
pass. I had never written a poem in my life besides ones like the "Roses
are red, violets are blue" or writing rap lyrics, but I never could
get past a few sentences. We have to stand on Gods word and enforce it
and watch the outcome come to pass. Psalms 37:5 says, "Committ thy
way unto the lord, trust also in him and he shall bring it to pass."
And this is how this book came to be.
